A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times while driving on Chicago's West Side Friday night, but still managed to get himself to the hospital. Police said the shooting happened in the 2800 block of West Monroe Street just before 11:40 p.m. He drove to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition. Investigators say the motive and circumstances are still unclear as detectives work to piece together what unfolded on that stretch of Monroe.
According to CBS Chicago, the victim was struck several times before seeking care at Mount Sinai. Area Four detectives have been assigned to the case, the station reported.
