A late-night shooting near Bartlett sent a woman to the hospital Sunday after deputies found her wounded inside a car at a busy Shelby County intersection, authorities said.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called around 10:30 p.m. to New Brownsville Road and St. Elmo Avenue, where they discovered the victim inside a vehicle. The scene unfolded near a gas station, and the woman was rushed to a hospital.
Her condition was first listed as critical, but officials later said she had been upgraded to non-critical, according to FOX13 Memphis. As of Monday morning, investigators had not publicly identified a suspect.
Deputies Release Scene Footage, Ask Public to Come Forward
The sheriff's office shared video from its response that shows deputies and crime-scene investigators working in the gas station lot late into the night. In a media release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, officials confirmed the woman's condition had been upgraded to non-critical and urged anyone with information to contact investigators or submit tips.
Detectives are also encouraging people who were in the area to share any video or details that might help them piece together what happened.

This latest attack comes amid a run of gun violence across Memphis. It follows several recent incidents, including a May shooting in Orange Mound that left a woman hospitalized.
