The first public word of trouble came Wednesday from YeahThatsKosher, which reported that the dairy restaurant "has permanently closed" and noted that no reason for the shutdown has been shared. The site also pointed out that Bubby’s operated under Kosher Miami (KM) supervision while it was open.

That report sits awkwardly beside the restaurant’s own online presence. The official website still sports a "We're open" banner and continues to list menus and hours at bubbysfishnchips.com. State licensing data on the Florida DBPR inspection portal shows Bubby’s with an active seating license and inspections logged as recently as February 2026, according to Florida DBPR. Delivery apps and third-party directories are split, with some flagging the restaurant as "currently unavailable" while others still list normal operating hours.

Local listings indicate Bubby’s opened in 2019 and was run by Schneur Borenstein, according to Great Kosher Restaurants.
