A high-speed run on the Indiana Toll Road ended in LaGrange County on Saturday, when a Chicago man was arrested after state troopers said he pushed his pickup past 100 miles per hour with a woman and two young children inside.
Indiana State Police said the truck finally pulled over in LaGrange County, where troopers found a woman, an 8-year-old, and a 2-year-old in the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody at the scene, and no injuries were reported in the initial release.
According to WIBC 93.1 FM, another trooper radioed Trooper John Levitz just after 6:30 p.m. about a pickup clocked at more than 100 miles per hour. Levitz switched on his emergency lights and siren, but investigators say the driver, identified as 28-year-old Justyn Thomas, kept weaving aggressively through traffic before finally stopping.

Indiana State Police list District 21 as the Toll Road Post, based in Bristol, which covers the stretch of the Indiana Toll Road running through several northern counties, including LaGrange and Steuben. The Indiana State Police note that the Toll Road Post is responsible for enforcement along the I-90 and I-80 corridor across that region.

Once Thomas was taken into custody, troopers found the woman and the two children in the pickup and released them at the scene, according to WIBC 93.1 FM. Thomas now faces charges that include resisting law enforcement, reckless driving and neglect of a dependent.
