What investigators say happened
Deputies were called to a Cutler Bay home on July 20 after a 12‑year‑old girl ran into her father's bedroom around 3 a.m., panicked and saying she had heard someone knock on her window, according to WSVN. Her father checked the family's security system and, the outlet reports, saw video of a man walking up to the child's window and exposing his genitals.
Investigators say the same man came back to the residence multiple times that morning. The security footage clearly captured his face and clothing, as well as a white four‑door sedan parked nearby, according to the report. How detectives tracked him down
As part of that canvass, investigators pinpointed a nearby gas station they say the suspect frequented and pulled surveillance footage that showed the same vehicle seen outside the girl's window, the station reports. A records search on the license plate led detectives to the registered driver.
When questioned, the man denied doing anything wrong and told detectives he was “just walking around,” according to WSVN. Authorities say he was then arrested without incident and brought to the Cutler Bay police station for questioning before being transported for booking.
