A Sunday night drive through Englewood turned violent when a 27-year-old woman was shot while behind the wheel, then managed to drive herself to St. Bernard Hospital with a wound to her right hip. She was reported in good condition after arriving at the hospital.
Police: Shots Fired At Car On South Morgan
Police said the shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. on the 5700 block of South Morgan Street, when someone opened fire on the woman’s vehicle and shattered its rear windshield. The driver was hit in the right hip, and Wentworth Area detectives were called in to investigate. As of early Monday, no arrests had been reported, according to CBS Chicago.
