A motorcyclist in his 20s died after an overnight crash on Ohio State Route 4 in Fairfield Township, Butler County, according to township police. An officer on patrol found a motorcycle on its side in the median just before 2 a.m., and the rider was taken to UC West Chester Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to FOX19, the officer was driving along Ohio 4 near Headgates Road when the bike was spotted in the median, and the rider was discovered unconscious. Fairfield Township police told the station the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
"His name is not being released until his family is notified," Fairfield Township police told FOX19. Investigators have not released other details and have not yet indicated whether any other vehicles were involved.
