A Saturday night fight in Chicago's Gold Coast turned bloody when a man was stabbed in the neck, leaving him in critical condition, according to police. Officers responded to the 0-100 block of E. Oak Street around 9:35 p.m., where they found the gravely injured man while the woman involved had already taken off on foot.

According to FOX 32 Chicago, Chicago police said the pair got into a physical altercation and the woman struck the man in the neck with a sharp object. The victim was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Officers had not released a description of the suspect as of late Saturday, FOX 32 reported.

As FOX 32 Chicago notes, area detectives have opened an investigation into Saturday's stabbing and no arrests had been reported as of Sunday morning.
