Gunfire tore through a West Jordan neighborhood Tuesday evening, leaving one person fighting for life and a quiet residential block suddenly packed with flashing lights and police tape.
The shooting happened near 5000 West and 8500 South, where an adult victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Neighbors were left rattled as officers remained in the area into the evening while investigators processed the scene and searched for whoever pulled the trigger.
West Jordan Police said the shooting occurred around 6 p.m., and officers were still looking for a suspect as of 7 p.m., according to FOX 13 News. Officials told the station they believe the incident was isolated and offered no immediate motive or suspect description.
