The video, which Sherbrooke owner Mitch Novick shared with local television, shows an officer zeroing in on a person allegedly holding drugs and yelling, “You got the weed in your hand. Stop right there!” as the man bolts down the street. The foot chase ends at the corner of Collins Avenue and Ninth Street, just a short walk from Ocean Drive and Lummus Park, where crowds have been gathering for World Cup events. In the footage, the Taser’s prongs hit the suspect and send him crashing forward, after which an officer is seen removing the prongs from the man’s back before paramedics step in to assess his condition. We had an officer deploy his Taser,” as they asked for the video. Authorities later identified the man as Terrance Sutton and said he was taken into custody after being evaluated at a hospital, per WSVN.
