A 43-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle near Main Street and Roberts Street in Paris, authorities said. The Edgar County coroner later identified the victim as Jason A. Lister and said he was taken to a hospital, where he died. The crash remains under investigation.
According to WAND TV, the Edgar County Coroner's Office said the collision happened just before 1:30 a.m. A Vermilion County resident driving north on Main Street reportedly struck Lister, who was in the middle of the roadway. Lister was transported to the hospital, where he later died. The Paris Police Department and the Edgar County Coroner's Office are handling the investigation.
