A late-night shooting near 31st Street Beach left a 22-year-old man in critical condition after he was found with a gunshot wound to the head, Chicago police said. Officers discovered him lying on the ground in the 700 block of East 31st Street, rendered aid until emergency crews arrived, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
