Miami’s high-end housing market just got a jolt. Luxury power broker Julian Johnston has left Corcoran for ONE Sotheby’s, taking roughly $300 million in active listings along for the ride and shifting one of Miami’s best-known waterfront-focused teams to a rival Miami Beach brokerage.

Johnston’s Florida real estate license was transferred to ONE Sotheby’s on Monday, according to The Real Deal, and he will be based out of the company’s Miami Beach office. He had joined Corcoran in 2019, making the jump a notable move for a broker whose name often shows up on ultra-luxury and waterfront listings.

Even this summer, Johnston was still front and center on some of South Florida’s priciest homes. In May, The Miami Herald highlighted his $25 million Pinecrest listing and noted that he has spent more than 25 years in Miami real estate, including setting a neighborhood sales record with a $19.5 million deal the previous year.

The Johnston team closed 35 on-market deals totaling $245 million in 2025, while Johnston’s career sales have surpassed $10 billion, according to The Real Deal. Recent headlining deals included representing the seller of two South Venetian Way waterfront lots that sold for $22.5 million and representing the buyer of a North Venetian Drive home that traded for $17.3 million.

ONE Sotheby’s Hooks A Big Miami Beach Catch

For ONE Sotheby’s, Johnston lands as a big-name addition to a locally grown luxury platform led by Daniel and Mayi de la Vega. In January, the company announced that Daniel de la Vega had become CEO while Mayi remained executive chair, with the brokerage operating 31 offices and more than 1,300 real estate professionals along Florida’s East Coast.

The timing also drops in the middle of a broader consolidation wave among major brokerages. In a filing, Compass said it completed its acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate on January 9, bringing brands including Corcoran into its combined corporate portfolio, while ONE Sotheby’s continues to operate as a separate regional luxury affiliate.

For Miami sellers and buyers, the takeaway is simple enough: a hefty roster of active listings and a team with more than a decade of high-end dealmaking now wear a different brokerage badge. Johnston said he was grateful to Corcoran leadership and his former team, but the next chapter of his Miami business will be written under the ONE Sotheby’s banner.
