A man was found outside a northwest Miami-Dade market with an apparent stab wound to his leg Thursday, then rushed to a hospital as detectives worked to determine where and when he was attacked.
According to WPLG Local 10, the unidentified man was discovered outside Northside Supermarket. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said he had been stabbed at an unknown time and in an unknown location.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue medics transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment, though authorities have not released his condition. No suspect description, motive, or arrest was announced, and MDSO detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Investigators Are Still Tracing Where The Attack Happened
The limited information leaves open the possibility that the market was where the wounded man was found, rather than where the stabbing occurred. Authorities have not said whether witnesses saw the attack, whether surveillance video was available, or what led up to the injury.
The location has been the scene of a separate serious stabbing in the past. In May 2024, police said 53-year-old Michael Anthony Parker died after being stabbed at the same market, and 48-year-old George Armstrong was arrested on a second-degree murder charge, according to an earlier Local 10 report. No connection between that case and Thursday's stabbing has been announced.
