Miami has a new cocktail hideaway tucked inside a multi-concept dining spot, and Lovecat by Bar Not Found is making its case with album-inspired drinks, a tiki hut and prices that mostly stay below $20. The bar sits inside Zoko Collective in the Wynwood/Allapattah area, where a black cat logo and a living-room-style setup give the spot a more intimate feel than the average Miami nightlife production.
Lovecat is helmed by owner Robert Ritter and brand strategist Stilo Pimentel, who told Miami New Times that they wanted to build a thoughtful bar without leaning into the city’s increasingly familiar $25 cocktail norm. The concept grew from Ritter’s monthly apartment tastings into pop-ups, brand events and a signature golden trailer before landing a permanent home at Zoko Collective.
Album-Inspired Cocktails Meet A Miami Backyard
The room mixes green subway tiles, cushy seats, books, trinkets and Broadway theater chairs with plants, palm trees and a large tiki hut. The Infatuation describes the menu as concise but creative, with tomato-and-guava highballs, savory martinis and most drinks priced around $15. The bar is outdoors, so Miami humidity and mosquitoes may be the only unofficial cover charge.
The drink list turns classic records into cocktail prompts, with options including the rum-sour “Great Gig in the Sky,” the fizzy citrus “Trem Fantasma” and the Mexican-chocolate milk punch “Black Cow.” Ritter’s “Pink Moon” uses housemade vermouth and a Portuguese wine base, while the $20 “14th Street” martini comes with anchovy vermouth and a generous sidecar, according to Miami New Times.
Happy Hour Keeps The Hidden Bar Relatively Affordable
Lovecat recently added a happy hour with 10 classic cocktails priced at $10 from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. The bar also plans to introduce an all-day Sunday brunch menu, giving the space a daytime foothold instead of limiting it to late-night drinks.
OpenTable lists Lovecat’s bar hours as 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., with walk-ins welcome, while Zoko Collective’s broader dining operation runs Thursday through Sunday and offers Sunday brunch. For Miami drinkers tired of secret-password theatrics and wallet-punishing cocktails, Lovecat’s pitch is refreshingly simple: thoughtful drinks, plenty of personality and enough money left for another round.
