The outlet reports he served 17 years in prison, was released with 17 years of probation, then moved to the Minneapolis area in 2022 to be with family. In July 2025, investigators say, he "went on the run," and a marshal on the case described him as "very unpredictable."
FOX6 adds that investigators believe Her may now be in California. They say he uses the nicknames Chico, JJ and "Little One," and that his listed description is 5 feet 1 inch tall and about 140 pounds.
