A late-night stop at a Miramar gas station ended in chaos Wednesday when a man was stabbed and left with serious injuries along Miramar Parkway, triggering a major police response and an urgent search for the attacker.
The man was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital, and witnesses reported a heavy police presence crowding the area as cruisers lined the roadway. Officers fanned out to search the surrounding blocks after a subject ran from the scene, while detectives worked into the night processing evidence along the roadway.
According to Local 10, the stabbing happened in the area of the Mobile gas station at 16961 Miramar Pkwy. Police told the station the victim suffered serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital. Authorities said the subject took off, prompting officers to set up a perimeter and shut down Miramar Parkway between 164th Avenue and 172nd Avenue while they processed the scene.

Detectives stayed on scene well into the night, and motorists were urged to avoid that stretch of Miramar Parkway as lanes remained closed during the investigation.
