Nearly two months after a brutal hit-and-run on Millwood Drive near Murfreesboro Pike, Metro Nashville police have released photos of a suspect sedan and are asking for the public’s help finding the driver. Investigators say a 44-year-old woman was standing behind her parked vehicle on May 30 when a passing car hit her, critically injuring her and ultimately costing her a leg after she was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Traffic Division investigators posted the images on Friday, July 24, as part of their ongoing probe into the May 30 crash. The department says the sedan struck the woman as she stood behind her parked vehicle, then left the scene, and that officers are working to identify both the car and its driver.
As reported by WSMV, the vehicle is described as a dark maroon sedan that will likely have visible damage to the passenger-side corner of the windshield. The outlet also noted that the woman was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where her injury required amputation of a leg.

Under Tennessee law, drivers involved in crashes that cause injury or death must stop, render aid, and exchange information. Per Tennessee Code § 55-10-101, failing to stop at the scene when serious injury or death results can lead to felony charges, with prosecutors determining specific charges based on the facts of the case.
