A Nashville couple is facing a serious stack of drug charges after deputies allegedly stopped them on the way to a Warren County delivery and found roughly a pound of methamphetamine. Investigators also reported finding fentanyl, marijuana, pills, drug paraphernalia and cash during the Wednesday stop. Both women remain jailed as the case moves toward court.
Jessica Lynn Riley, 48, and Angela Nicole Riley, 43, were intercepted while allegedly traveling to deliver meth to someone in Warren County, according to WSMV. Deputies reportedly recovered about one pound of meth, 2.5 grams of fentanyl, marijuana, pills, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Arrest Follows Broader Warren County Drug Crackdown
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department described the case as the result of a lengthy methamphetamine-trafficking investigation. The arrest comes shortly after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced more than 20 indictments tied to a separate six-month operation targeting illicit drug sales in the county.
That earlier operation involved the TBI, McMinnville Police Department, FBI and the 31st Judicial District Drug Task Force. Warren County Sheriff Jackie Matheny said the latest arrest would shut down what he described as a major flow of methamphetamine into the county, while investigators continue targeting suppliers and alleged delivery networks.
The case is part of a string of recent Warren County narcotics arrests, including a separate traffic stop involving more than 48 grams of methamphetamine and a child in the vehicle, as reported in an earlier Warren County meth case.
Six Felony And Drug-Related Counts Filed
Both women were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of fentanyl, possession of a Schedule V drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while in possession of 5 grams or more of methamphetamine. They are being held in the Warren County Jail on bonds totaling more than $100,000 each, and they are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court, WSMV reported.
The charges are allegations, not convictions, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Additional details about the alleged delivery and the source of the drugs had not been released.
