
A man in his 30s is dead after an early Sunday stabbing in North Chicago, according to police. Officers rushed to the 600 block of 10th Street for a reported stabbing, and the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. As reported by WGN‑TV, officers responded to the 600 block of 10th Street early Sunday after a call about a stabbing. The victim, described only as a man in his 30s, was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Police told WGN‑TV they have not released the man's name and are continuing to investigate what led up to the attack.

The deadly stabbing comes amid a summer marked by other serious violence in North Chicago. Earlier this season, a domestic stabbing at a home in the city critically injured a man, according to Lake and McHenry County Scanner. More recently, a late-night North Chicago hit-and-run and other police operations in the area have kept residents on edge.
