One ticket sold at a Port St. Lucie Walmart turned out to be Florida's standout win on Friday, with a Quick Pick matching the Jackpot Triple Play. The prize was the state's biggest announced payout that day and was one of several wins sprinkled across Florida heading into the July 4 holiday weekend.
Winning numbers that hit
The winning Jackpot Triple Play Quick Pick matched the numbers 11, 15, 36, 37, 42 and 43 in Friday's official drawing. That result reset the game's advertised jackpot to its $250,000 starting point, according to LotteryUSA.
Where the winning tickets were sold
The Jackpot Triple Play match came from a Quick Pick purchased at the Walmart at 1850 SW Gatlin Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.
The entire Fantasy 5 evening jackpot, worth $119,251, went to a Quick Pick from the machine at the Circle K at 2808 Del Prado Blvd. S. in Cape Coral. The Fantasy 5 midday pot was split among four players, each of whom received $15,864 from tickets sold at a Jacksonville Winn-Dixie at 11700 San Jose Blvd., a Citgo in Malabar at 6645 SE Babcock St., and 7-Eleven stores in Port Richey at 10007 U.S. Hwy. 19 and in Dunedin at 2198 Main St., as reported by the Miami Herald.
Retailers can get a bonus
Florida runs retailer incentive programs that award bonus commissions to stores that sell jackpot or top-prize tickets. The amounts and eligibility are set in state rulemaking documents. The rules define starting bonus levels and explain how payouts are distributed to retailers after a winning ticket is validated, as outlined in the Florida Administrative Register and related program materials.
How winners claim prizes
Prizes up to $1 million are generally claimed at one of the Florida Lottery's district offices. Prizes above $1 million must be processed at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Winners are advised to sign the back of the ticket, keep it secure and follow the Florida Lottery's Winner's Guide for the required forms, deadlines and next steps.
Jackpot snapshot
Neither Mega Millions nor Powerball produced a top-prize winner on Friday. Mega Millions is set to advertise an estimated $576 million jackpot for Tuesday, and Powerball sits near an estimated $396 million for Saturday's drawing, according to current jackpot trackers at Lotto.net and Lotto.net. Smaller winners from Friday's draws still need to follow the claim rules to collect their payouts.
