Police: Dispute at Pool Ends With Suspect Firing Multiple Rounds
A San Antonio Police Department sergeant at the scene told KSAT the confrontation started as a dispute involving a man, his girlfriend and another person who does not live at the complex. Investigators say the visiting man pulled out a handgun, fired an unknown number of shots and then took off before officers arrived. As of Sunday night, police said there had been no arrest.

Another Poolside Shooting in the San Antonio Area
The incident adds to a short but troubling list of San Antonio-area pool shootings. On May 20, 2023, a man was also left in critical condition after a shooting at a pool on the Far Northwest Side, MySA reported. In that earlier case, witnesses offered conflicting stories as detectives tried to piece together exactly how the violence unfolded.
Suspect Still Unidentified as Detectives Work Case
San Antonio Police Department investigators remained at the complex Sunday night, processing the scene and interviewing witnesses. They told reporters the suspect had not been identified and that no one at the apartments appeared to recognize him, according to KSAT. Officials have not yet released the victim's name, and the case remains an active investigation.
