Rezoning filings show a mid-rise building with a stepped roofline, amenity decks and ground-floor areas clearly pitched at student life. The renderings, credited to Modis Architects, depict a mix of social and outdoor spaces that would ring the preserved historic house while packing in modern student-focused features.
How this fits in locally
Treo is no stranger to the UM orbit. The developer previously delivered VOX-branded student housing near the South Miami Metrorail, a track record The Real Deal has spotlighted. According to the South Florida Business Journal, there are at least three private student housing projects in the works around the university, underscoring a growing pipeline of off-campus rentals aimed squarely at UM students.
