A late-night ride through downtown Los Angeles turned tragic Sunday when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metro bus on the 100 block of 6th Street, just off Skid Row. Emergency crews responded and pronounced the person dead at the scene as investigators shut down the area for hours.
Numerous firefighters and Los Angeles Police Department officers converged on the block while Sky5 hovered overhead shortly before 10:50 p.m., according to KTLA. Authorities have yet to release further information about how the crash unfolded or the identity of the victim.
