A man was shot and killed late Tuesday in the Dutchtown neighborhood of south St. Louis, adding another violent incident to a corridor already on edge. Officers were called shortly before 9:15 p.m. to the 4700 block of South Spring Avenue, where they found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the man died at the scene, the investigation is ongoing, and the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
According to FOX 2, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department detectives worked the scene late into Tuesday night, but information remains scarce. Authorities have not released any suspect description or possible motive and say the case is still under active investigation.

Dutchtown and this stretch of South Spring Avenue have seen several shootings this year, a pattern both residents and police have been tracking.
