A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed just after 1 a.m. Wednesday on Chicago's West Side, the latest in a series of deadly incidents along Jackson Boulevard, police said.
The shooting happened around 1:01 a.m. in the 4600 block of West Jackson Boulevard. The Chicago Fire Department took the boy to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to ABC7 Chicago. Area Four detectives are handling the case, and authorities did not immediately release additional details.

Jackson Boulevard has already been carrying a heavy history. In June 2024 a 7-year-old boy was killed on the 2300 block of West Jackson Boulevard, an incident detailed by WTTW.
