A 19-year-old man was shot early Sunday during a house party in Hopkinsville and later airlifted to a Nashville hospital after Hopkinsville EMS met a helicopter in Crofton. Three vehicles were also hit by gunfire, and detectives have been canvassing the area.
What Deputies Found
According to a press release from the Christian County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 6900 block of Madisonville Road at 2:01 a.m. and found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the abdomen and three vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. Hopkinsville EMS transported the victim to meet a helicopter at Crofton Elementary School, where he was flown to a Nashville hospital for further treatment.

As reported by WHOP AM, Public Information Officer John Godsey said detectives are interviewing several witnesses and processing the scene. Authorities have not released the victim's name or an updated condition as of Sunday morning.
