Versailles is opening another Cafe Versailles at Miami International Airport, this time on the second floor of Terminal D-7, giving travelers one more shot at a cafecito before boarding. There is no opening date yet, but permit filings indicate the expansion is moving through the regulatory pipeline.
The new location was reported by What Now Miami, which noted that Versailles recently filed applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The cafe will be operated by Global Miami, the airport concessions venture behind a sizable portion of MIA’s food-and-beverage lineup.
Another Versailles, Same Airport, More Cuban Coffee
This is technically an additional outpost, not Versailles’ first airport appearance. Global Miami currently lists Cafe Versailles at five other MIA spots, including multiple locations in Concourse D as well as Satellite E and Terminal F.
Travelers can expect the familiar fast-casual lineup: Cuban coffee, café con leche, cortaditos, Cuban sandwiches, croquetas, empanadas and fresh pastries, according to What Now Miami. In other words, the airport run may soon come with a reliable detour for cafecito and a croqueta before the boarding group gets called.
Versailles Keeps Turning Miami Culture Into A Grab-And-Go Stop
Founded by Felipe Valls Sr. in 1971, Versailles grew from its Little Havana flagship into a broader family-run brand built around Cuban food and the famous La Ventanita coffee-window tradition. The restaurant’s own history describes Cafe Versailles as its airport-focused expansion, bringing that same coffee-and-pastry shorthand for Miami to travelers passing through MIA.
The timing also makes sense in a relentlessly busy airport: Miami International Airport handled 55.3 million travelers in 2025, including 24.8 million international passengers, according to Miami International Airport. For now, the new Terminal D-7 cafe has the location and the filings, but not yet a public launch date.
