A man in his 30s was found shot to death inside a vehicle early Sunday in Los Angeles’ Westlake neighborhood, and a woman who had been at the same party was wounded and later taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Officers were sent around 4 a.m. to the area of Sixth and Witmer streets, where they discovered the man inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds, according to MyNewsLA. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section told MyNewsLA that the shooting followed an altercation at a nearby party, where “one person produced a gun and opened fire.” The woman injured in the incident took herself to a hospital and was reported to have stable vital signs. Police did not immediately provide a suspect description.
Recent Violence in Westlake
