A working fire was reported this morning at a two-story home on Mason Mill Place in southwest Charlotte, bringing firefighters to the scene before dawn. Engine 30 arrived and took command as crews responded to the residential blaze.
The Charlotte Fire Department said in an initial alert posted around 2:46 a.m. that Engine 30 was on scene with a working fire in a two-story residential home and had command.
The first update did not include information about injuries, evacuations, the extent of damage or what may have started the fire. Additional details were not included in the department’s initial advisory.
