What started as a household argument on Randle Street in North Memphis turned into a shooting Saturday, leaving one man wounded and his roommates diving for cover, according to Memphis police.
Officers were called to a domestic disturbance near Randle Street and North Watkins Street and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. Police say two other roommates and a two-year-old child were inside the home while the gunfire erupted outside.
Investigators identified the suspect as Vincent Brown. According to an affidavit, Brown had argued with his roommates earlier in the day, then came back, stood outside the door with a handgun and fired more than nine shots. One roommate told investigators Brown warned, “Y'all going to regret this,” right before he opened fire. Court documents also state Brown had brought stolen items into the home earlier that day. Both adult roommates later identified Brown as the alleged shooter. Those details were reported by Action News 5.
