Nashville’s wine crowd gathered Saturday night for a polished evening of rare bottles, big-ticket bidding and an even bigger local mission. The 47th annual l’Eté du Vin turned a downtown ballroom into a fundraiser aimed squarely at supporting the fight against cancer.
The event unfolded at JW Marriott Nashville as the centerpiece of a three-day Nashville Wine Auction weekend, according to the Nashville Wine Auction. This year’s theme, The Art of Wine: Expressions of the Roederer Collection, brought in Frédéric Rouzaud of Champagne Louis Roederer and Nicolas Glumineau of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande as guests of honor.
Roederer Wines Took Center Stage
The evening began with a wine-tasting reception featuring selections from the Roederer Collection before moving into a seated dinner, silent auction, and live auction. Nashville Lifestyles described the event as a charity food-and-wine gathering built around both high-end pours and spirited bidding.
The Saturday gala capped a broader program that also included a vintners’ tasting and patrons’ dinner, with featured wines tied to Rouzaud’s collection and Glumineau’s Bordeaux estate. A preview from Wine Industry Advisor said proceeds would support 13 Middle Tennessee nonprofits focused on cancer research, patient treatment and caregiver support.
Nashville’s Wine Auction Has Raised More Than $45 Million
The Nashville Wine Auction had not posted a final fundraising total for the 2026 event on its event materials by Sunday. The organization says it has raised more than $45 million since its founding in 1980, while its 2025 auction recap reported more than $2.6 million raised during the 46th annual event.
That track record gives the annual gala a role beyond Nashville’s luxury-event circuit: the bottles, dinners and once-in-a-lifetime experiences are ultimately tools for keeping cancer programs funded. For one night, the bidding paddles did what they were supposed to do—turn serious wine collecting into serious community support.
