
A multivehicle crash in Nashville’s Inglewood neighborhood left one person dead and two others injured Saturday evening, while the impact briefly disrupted power for nearby residents.
The collision happened on Kennedy Avenue between Norvel and McChesney avenues, according to WKRN News 2. Metro Nashville police responded to the scene, and all lanes in the area were closed as crews worked.
Power Flickers As Investigation Continues
Neighbors reported hearing a loud noise and seeing their power flicker after the crash. The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure confirmed the location and said the collision affected power service in Inglewood for a short time.
Metro emergency communications initially reported that the crash was deadly and later said two people were transported from the scene. The cause of the collision, the identities of those involved and whether any charges will follow were not immediately available, and the report remains developing.
