A Knoxville woman with three outstanding warrants is the subject of a new Crime Stoppers alert tied to the Lonsdale area. The public appeal asks residents to share information anonymously rather than trying to track her down themselves.
The Monday alert from East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers identifies Shameeka Shaunte Taylor as wanted on warrants that list aggravated assault, vandalism and theft. The post lists her date of birth as September 27, 1990, and says the warrants were active as of Monday.
What The Wanted Alert Says
According to the bulletin, Taylor is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 290 pounds. Crime Stoppers also says she may be homeless in the Lonsdale area, but the alert does not provide additional details about the incidents underlying the warrants.
The three listed offenses are aggravated assault, vandalism and theft. Those charges are allegations, and the Crime Stoppers post notes that people named in its alerts are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
