A 26-year-old Lamar County man is behind bars after deputies say he fired multiple rounds at a passing vehicle outside his own home on Lamar County Line Road on Monday. The driver managed to escape the area unharmed, and Keith Odel was taken into custody at the residence without further incident.
According to the FOX 5 Atlanta, both the Lamar County Sheriff's Office and the Spalding County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Lamar County Line Road, just west of Cook Road. Per the Lamar County Sheriff's Office, an armed man opened fire on a passing vehicle and was acting erratically near the residence before deputies arrived.
