A man was shot and killed on Freret Street in Uptown New Orleans late Saturday night, turning a busy corridor into a crime scene as police began searching for answers. The shooting was reported around 9:58 p.m. Saturday.
Calls came in about a man who had been shot, and New Orleans EMS found the victim already dead when responders arrived, according to WDSU. The New Orleans Police Department is investigating, but the initial report did not identify the victim or provide information about a suspect, motive or arrest.
