The forecast calls for only a 4% chance of rain across the Memphis area, though a small amount of additional rainfall cannot be ruled out. Temperatures may ease back toward 81 degrees later in the afternoon, making Saturday one of the more comfortable outdoor days in the forecast.
Sunday Adds A Small Storm Chance
Sunday remains relatively cool, with partly sunny skies and a high near 82. A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives mainly between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., with a smaller chance lingering into the early evening.
Heat Builds Again By Midweek
The pleasant stretch will not last long. Monday reaches about 86 degrees, followed by highs near 90 Tuesday, 93 Wednesday, 95 Thursday and 96 Friday under mostly sunny skies.
For Memphis, Saturday and Sunday offer the best window for comfortable outdoor plans before the heat ramps back up. The National Weather Service's Memphis office lists no active watches, warnings or advisories for the area in the latest forecast.
