
A Miami Gardens pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital Friday afternoon after an SUV reportedly struck the person near Northwest 156th Street and 45th Avenue, with a bicycle possibly involved.
Miami Gardens police officers shut down part of the roadway while police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded, according to WSVN 7News. The pedestrian was flown to a hospital in Aventura in unknown condition.
Police Have Not Released More Details
The initial account did not identify the pedestrian, explain how the bicycle may have figured into the crash, or say whether the driver remained at the scene. No arrest, citation or later medical update has been publicly reported.
Another Miami Gardens Roadway Investigation Recently Drew Attention
The crash follows a separate June investigation in which residents found a man lying in a Miami Gardens roadway and suspected he may have been struck by a vehicle, as Hoodline reported. Police had not publicly explained that earlier incident or released an update on the man's condition at the time.
