Miramar is turning a Saturday night at its regional park amphitheater into a free pan-Latin dance floor, with merengue, salsa, reggae en español, urban music and reggaeton on the bill. The Miramar Latin Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 7 to 11 p.m., as part of the city's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
The city's announcement, shared by #WeAreMiramar, says Commissioner Yvette Colbourne is hosting the festival, which will feature Kinito Méndez, Isairis, Tony Vega, Karolina Con K and Nando Boom.
The event is also listed on Eventbrite for the Miramar Amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park, with free registration available for the evening program. The venue is a familiar one for the city’s large outdoor cultural events, so expect lawn-party energy rather than a quiet night under the stars.
The lineup covers a wide stretch of Latin music: Kinito Méndez brings Dominican merengue, Tony Vega brings salsa, Nando Boom brings reggae en español, and Isairis is set to perform urban and reggaeton music. Karolina Con K, a Venezuelan singer, rounds out a bill built for live music, dancing and a crowd that does not plan to sit still for long.
A Miramar Tradition With A Serious Local Following
According to the City of Miramar, the festival launched in 2013 and has become a signature Hispanic Heritage Month event. The city says the 2024 edition drew more than 10,000 attendees, putting this firmly in the category of major civic celebration rather than a small neighborhood concert.
