According to Arizona's Family, the Navajo County Sheriff's Office received an Alert to Locate for the infant after the abduction was reported in Surprise. Deputies quickly tracked the vehicle to the Winslow area, where they located the newborn safe.

The Navajo County Sheriff's Office said the infant was unharmed and credited the Arizona Department of Public Safety with helping officers resolve the incident.
