A pedestrian was hospitalized Friday after a crash at a major North Miami Beach intersection. Aerial footage showed a bicycle beneath the car, while the injured person’s condition remained unknown.
The crash happened at Northeast 163rd Street and Northeast 35th Avenue, according to WSVN 7News. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews and police officers responded, and the collision blocked three lanes of traffic while the scene was investigated.
Crash Comes One Week After Fatal 163rd Street Wreck
The incident came exactly one week after a separate, far more serious crash near Northeast 34th Avenue on the same busy corridor. Local 10 reported that five people were taken to hospitals after that July 24 collision, and one woman later died.
The driver in Friday’s crash remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, WSVN reported. No cause, citation or arrest had been announced, and officials had not released additional details about the pedestrian’s injuries.
