Wednesday brings a slightly cooler high near 101°F and a better chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially from north and east Phoenix toward the higher terrain. The daytime rain chance is around 40%, rising to about 60% Wednesday night, when a few areas could see between a tenth and a quarter-inch of rain.
Triple-Digit Heat Rebuilds This Weekend
Thursday stays partly sunny with a high near 100°F and only a slight storm chance before drier air takes over. Friday should be mostly sunny and dry in Phoenix, with a high near 101°F and an overnight low around 84°F.
The heat then starts climbing again: Saturday is forecast to reach 104°F, Sunday could hit 107°F, and Monday may peak near 108°F. Overnight lows will remain stubbornly warm, ranging from about 81°F to 87°F, so residents should plan outdoor activity for early morning or after sunset and take the heat seriously.
There are no watches, warnings or advisories listed for Phoenix at this time. Anyone caught in a storm should avoid flooded roadways, watch for reduced visibility and give extra space to drivers dealing with sudden outflow winds.
