A shooting on South Bend’s northwest side left one person dead Monday, sending police into an active homicide investigation on College Street.
Victim Found With Apparent Gunshot Wound
Officers were called to the 1000 block of College Street, where they found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to the South Bend Police Department. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the victim’s name is being withheld while detectives work to notify next of kin. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and authorities have not released information about a suspect or possible motive.
