St. Louis missed out on hosting World Cup matches this summer, but the U.S. Men’s National Team is bringing a national-team encore to town. The USMNT will return to Energizer Park on Tuesday, Sept. 29, for a showdown with Chile.
According to STLPR, the Impact Match presented by New York Life will kick off at 7 p.m. Central. The public ticket sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local venue time, while presales start Wednesday at the same hour.
A Four-Match Fall Reset For The USMNT
U.S. Soccer announced the St. Louis match as part of a four-game fall slate that opens with Peru in Orlando on Sept. 26. The Americans will then face Mexico in Glendale, Arizona, on Oct. 3, before closing the window against Canada in St. Paul on Oct. 6.
The Chile match will be the teams’ first meeting since a 1-1 draw in 2019, with the U.S. holding a 3-5-3 all-time record against La Roja. The game will air on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo and Peacock, according to the federation.
A Familiar St. Louis Stop With A Perfect Record
The USMNT has been unusually comfortable at Energizer Park, carrying a perfect 4-0-0 record there after beating Guatemala 2-1 in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. STLPR also noted that St. Louis native Tim Ream captained the national team during its 2026 World Cup run.
“St. Louis is one of the great examples of soccer culture in the United States,” head coach Mauricio Pochettino said, describing the city as a place where the national team feels at home. The roster for the Chile match has not yet been announced, so Ream’s participation remains up in the air.
Pochettino Starts A New Chapter At The Helm
The St. Louis date comes as Pochettino begins a longer-term phase with the program. In a new contract announcement, U.S. Soccer said the Argentine coach will remain in charge through 2030 after guiding the Americans to a record-setting World Cup campaign.
For St. Louis fans, that makes the Chile match more than a one-night exhibition: It is the first local look at a USMNT team beginning its next cycle, with Energizer Park once again serving as the backdrop.
