Slidell’s White Linen and Lagniappe returns this Saturday, bringing an evening of live music, food, cold drinks, shopping and local vendors to Olde Towne from 6 to 9 p.m.
The City of Slidell announced the summer event in a Facebook reel, promising another lively night built around the city’s historic downtown and its merchants.
Music, local art and a shopping-heavy evening
The entertainment lineup includes Bayou Stampede, Audio Beach, Steve A Sings, Overboard, Missi & Ray and the Northshore Community Orchestra Jazz Ensemble. The mix gives the event a little of everything, from full-band sets to a more polished orchestral sound.
Organizers also say visitors can browse antique, boutique and unique shops while checking out local artists and vendors. Food and cold drinks will be available throughout the event, with additional “lagniappe” details still expected to be announced.
Olde Towne remains the backdrop
White Linen and Lagniappe is part of Olde Towne Slidell’s recurring arts and community programming. Explore Louisiana describes the district as a walkable downtown filled with shops, restaurants and annual events, including the summer arts evening.
The event is being presented with support from the Olde Towne Slidell Merchant’s Association, Slidell Antique Association and Olde Towne Slidell Main Street, according to the city’s announcement. More information about participating businesses and the full evening schedule is expected before Saturday.
