Benjamin Satterley built a wrestling career that crossed continents and promotions, becoming known to fans worldwide as PAC and to an earlier generation as WWE’s Neville. All Elite Wrestling announced that he had died at 40, one day after his match against AEW National Champion Andrade at All Out in Chicago.
AEW announced Satterley’s death in a statement on its website, headlined, “ALL ELITE WRESTLING ANNOUNCES PASSING OF BENJAMIN SATTERLEY, AKA PAC.” The promotion offered condolences to his family, friends and fans but did not provide a cause of death. The New York Post also reported that no cause had been provided.
Satterley’s last match was Saturday night at Now Arena in Chicago, where he faced AEW National Champion Andrade at All Out. He began wrestling in 2004 and competed for organizations around the world during a career spanning more than two decades.
A separate in-ring tragedy
KFOR, republishing a CNN report, reported on March 22, 2015, that Mexican wrestler Pedro Aguayo Ramirez, known as Perro Aguayo Jr., collapsed after a flying kick during a Friday-night match in Tijuana. That was a reported in-match collapse; no cause has been provided in Satterley’s case, and the separate incident does not establish the circumstances of his death.
From Newcastle to the Biggest Stages in Wrestling
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley earned a reputation for acrobatic and technically skilled performances before signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2019. He held multiple championships with the promotion and became one of its prominent performers as PAC.
He also wrestled in WWE as Neville, where he became a fixture of the company’s cruiserweight scene. His work across British and American wrestling made him recognizable to fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
In 2024, Satterley aligned himself with AEW’s Death Riders stable, according to the same account. He also wrestled outside AEW, including for CMLL in Mexico the weekend before that report was published, losing to Mascara Dorada.
Praise From a Wrestling Veteran
Weeks before Satterley’s death, WWE producer and former wrestler William Regal praised him as “the best Wrestler to come out of England since the 80's,” Wrestling Inc. reported. The mid-September tribute reflected the high regard Satterley received from a veteran of the industry.
The circumstances of Satterley’s death remain unclear. AEW has not announced funeral arrangements or provided further family comment. His career spanned more than two decades and multiple continents, with his final match taking place in Chicago the day before AEW announced his death.
