Beyond Yoga is bringing its size-inclusive activewear to Arizona for the first time, opening a new store at Kierland Commons near Scottsdale Road and Greenway Parkway. The Los Angeles-based brand's Scottsdale location will carry its full assortment of women's, men's and maternity collections, along with loungewear, travel styles and its Glowzone line, in sizes ranging from XXS to 4X.
According to KTAR News 92.3 FM, the store will feature shop-in-shop concepts, spacious fitting rooms and rotating seasonal window displays meant to reflect the Scottsdale community. The opening marks Beyond Yoga's continued push into brick-and-mortar retail after years as a wholesale-first, online-focused brand — the company didn't open its first standalone store until late 2022 in Santa Monica, California, according to Retail Dive.
A grand opening celebration is set for September 10, with a VIP shopping event and fitness partnerships with local studios, per an Eventbrite listing for the event. The celebration is expected to include promotional giveaways and pop-up workout classes, with at least one session tied to a partnership with fitness brand Pvolve, according to a separate Eventbrite posting for the launch.
A Fast-Growing National Footprint
The Scottsdale store adds to a physical retail footprint that had already reached 14 locations nationwide by mid-2025, with recent openings in affluent hubs including Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Greenwich and Westport, Connecticut, per the trade outlet SGB Media. The brand has also expanded with East Coast locations including Maryland, in addition to its Greenwich and Westport, Connecticut stores, the KTAR report notes. That pattern of targeting high-income suburban and urban corridors continues in North Scottsdale, where Kierland Commons operates as a 439,000-square-foot outdoor lifestyle center owned by real estate investment trust Macerich, which also owns and redeveloped nearby Scottsdale Fashion Square.
Beyond Yoga was founded in Los Angeles in 2005 by Jodi Guber Brufsky and Michelle Wahler, built around soft technical fabrics, body positivity and size-inclusive activewear, according to Forbes. The brand's retail ambitions have accelerated since denim giant Levi Strauss & Co. acquired it in late 2021 for approximately $400 million, a deal executives framed at the time around the U.S. activewear category's roughly $50 billion market size — about five times larger than the total denim jeans market, per Front Office Sports.
New Leadership, New Product Lines
Former Athleta chief executive Nancy Green took over as Beyond Yoga's CEO in February 2024, succeeding co-founder Michelle Wahler, to lead the brand's next phase of retail and direct-to-consumer growth, according to a statement from Levi Strauss & Co. Under that push, the brand generated $151.3 million in sales for Levi Strauss & Co. over the 12-month period ending in late 2025, fueled by a 37% year-over-year revenue surge in its fourth fiscal quarter, per SGB Media, with direct-to-consumer store sales helping offset declines in wholesale revenue.
The brand has also been expanding beyond traditional yoga attire. In July 2025, Beyond Yoga launched its first water-repellent Outdoor Collection alongside a campaign called Seek Beyond, introducing performance jackets, vests and shorts priced between $58 and $168, according to Trend Hunter. Shoppers visiting the new Scottsdale store are likely to encounter that expanded product range alongside the brand's core yoga and loungewear lines.
