Johnathan Richard Albury, a 23-year-old Big Coppitt Key man, is being held on $100,000 bond while facing a felony sex offense charge, a felony eavesdropping charge and two misdemeanor stalking charges. Monroe County deputies accuse him of secretly recording sexual encounters with a woman who did not want to be filmed, then stalking and threatening her.
WKRC reported that deputies accuse Albury of making multiple recordings without the woman's permission. The WPLG account cited in the report says the woman told investigators she had made clear she did not want to be filmed. Deputies also allege Albury sent her several sexually explicit recordings involving the pair.
Repeated Contact And A Visit To Her Workplace
The reported allegations also include repeated calls and texts after the encounters and a visit to the woman's workplace without her consent. Adam Linhardt said investigators accused Albury of making threats against her, according to the station's report.
Deputies allege that the recordings and later contact formed a pattern of stalking and threats. Authorities obtained an arrest warrant before taking Albury into custody.
Arrest, Booking And Bond
WPLG reported that Albury was arrested on September 24 and booked into the Monroe County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
The pending charges are a felony sex offense count, a felony eavesdropping count and two misdemeanor stalking counts, according to the report. It remains unclear whether Albury has entered a plea or retained an attorney, and there is no indication in the report of a change to the charges or bond amount.
A resource for documenting stalking incidents
The verified public resource here is state-level: Florida’s official stalking-injunction petition form asks petitioners to describe when and where alleged incidents occurred, including at places such as work, according to the Florida Legislature.
