Heat Builds Through Wednesday Afternoon
Skies should be sunny. A few showers or storms could develop.
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement through 2 p.m. Wednesday, warning that high humidity could produce heat-index readings in the mid-90s to around 100 degrees. Residents are advised to limit time outdoors during the afternoon, drink plenty of fluids and take breaks from the sun.
Another Hot Day Into Friday
Wednesday night will have a low near 73 and clear skies. Thursday looks sunny, with a high near 97; heat indexes could reach 104.
The bigger shift arrives Friday, when sunny skies accompany a high near 95. The weekend brings highs of 92 and 87, with storms possible Saturday and Sunday mostly dry.
Where To Cool Down
Cincinnati Recreation Commission locations are available as cooling centers during periods of extreme heat, and the public can use them during regular business hours regardless of membership status, according to the City of Cincinnati. Indoor breaks can be especially important during hot, humid weather.
