Heat Builds Before Storm Chances Return
Wednesday will be just as hot, with a high near 93 and heat indices that could briefly approach 100 degrees in the far southwestern portion of the ILN forecast area. Initial storms are expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, while the timing and coverage of later storm chances remain uncertain before another warm night near 71.
Thursday keeps the heat going under mostly sunny skies, with a high near 94. The week-ahead pattern is a fresh shift from Hoodline's earlier forecast, as the hot stretch now hangs on before a cooler turn next week.
Sunday Brings A Wetter Turn
Friday should be a little less intense at 88 degrees, followed by a mostly sunny Saturday with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. Sunday brings the first more substantial rain chance, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 88; some storms could produce brief heavy rain.
Showers and thunderstorms remain possible Sunday night. Monday looks noticeably cooler at 79 degrees, with increasing shower and thunderstorm chances that could keep outdoor plans unsettled.
For Tuesday and Thursday, the best time for outdoor work or exercise will be early in the day or toward evening, when temperatures are lower. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana in the current forecast.
